With a discography lined with 7 albums (2 of which topped the Billboard 200), rapper Ja Rule gifted the early 2000s some of its most memorable Urban anthems.
Now, as we get ready to enter a new decade, the 43-year-old is looking to unlock his treasure chest of hits for a new generation by re-releasing them all…with a twist.
Details inside:
Taking to Twitter moments ago with the announcement above, the ‘Always On Time’ hitmaker took time to clarify he would not be redoing songs that already had visuals. As such, all of his previously unreleased album cuts across the seven LPs of his nearly 20 year career would get video treatments.
Quite the ambitious task, we’re certainly interested to see how this plays out. This, as we await updated news on his long-awaited duet album with Ashanti (click here to read more) and his own forthcoming solo effort, ‘Twelve.’
This is super smart considering no one is checking for his new music. A lot of older artists should do this.
He was the shìt growing up
Him and Dmx were the shìt back then.
But that performance he did at that basketball game was a major L.
He needs to do some features first with some new pop girls like Arianna or Camila, so he can score a top 10 atleast.
If Ja Rule wants two flop songs, call Camicky Cabella who can’t crack the top 40 with big budget videos
????????????????????????????????????
Never be the same (no features) peaked at number 6, higher than love lies and dancing with a stranger two of normani’s biggest songs. ????????????????
Camila net worth 12 million
Normani net worth 3 million
Drag queens and insta thòts on Instagram are richer than normani.
???????????????????
@Clarkson something is really wrong with you. Why are you keep bringing up Normani? You mad a dark chocolate beautiful black queen is more loved than Cazebra?
@clarkson, “never be the same” didn’t hit the top 10 until Camilla did a remix with Kane Brown. Do your research idiot.
Nobody asked for this s***.
Idc what ppl say about him but his music and video’s were classics and dope af better than 50 music, it bangs til this day him and Ashanti just need to do a collaboration album considering they make good music together.
Ok. I’d check it out. I just hope it’s all HIGH quality visual wise.
Hmmm…
but will people buy this? Isn’t this 10 or so years too late???
I’m here for this tbh. That man had hits! And Down Ass B**** is one of my faves he’s done
