Gospel royalty The Clark Sisters have sent fans into a frenzy with the announcement of their long-awaited new album.
Details inside:
Just hours ago the legendary quartet took to their respective Instagram accounts to not only announce new music, but unveil news the effort would be released under a partnership with member Karen Clark Sheard‘s label, Karew Records, and Motown Gospel.
Cited as an influence by many of music history’s top divas including Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey and more, the group – despite never officially disbanding – has spent most of the 2000s and 2010s focusing on their respective solo efforts. Having released only two projects as a collective since the turn of the century (2007’s ‘Live One Last Time’ and 2009’s holiday-themed ‘Clark Family Christmas’), fans have pressed the sisters for a new body of work to add to their prize discography.
It appears their wish will be granted via the unveiling of the new single ‘Victory’ (coming soon) and the release of its parent album will most likely coincide with the highly anticipated Queen Latifah & Mary J. Blige-produced Lifetime biopic of the ladies. Click here to read more on that film.
