Mariah Carey shone visually and vocally last night at the Expo 2020 pre-celebration in Dubai.
The diva supreme took center stage at the televised event, which precedes next year’s landmark salute of brilliance and achievement in the region.
To mark the occasion, Mimi took vocal flight with classics such as ‘We Belong Together’ and newer numbers such as ‘A No No’ from critically acclaimed album ‘Caution.’
With a busy holiday season coming (see: 25th anniversary of ‘Merry Christmas’), Ms. Carey sounds like she’s ready-set.

She sounds great as usual of late. A great vocalist. But Mariah, change the setlist – add in some bsides: Fly Like a bird? Alone in Love? Sent from Up above? Faded. Homegirl sticks to that setlist for dear life Hunnie. Great Vocals and that ending is bliss

Yea Mariah unfortunately the difficult task, especially at these events, to decide if to sing the popular songs that the masses know or stick to the good old ones that the general public are aware of. I’ll give her a pass with this show because most of that crowd isnt gonna know album cuts and fan favorites.
But definitely for her Vegas sets and future tour dates she needs to throw in some of those that the fans would go crazy to hear live.

She did a great job! She reworked the song to meet her where she is now but didn’t sacrifice sound. She was still able to wow the people.

Unless you are performing for his core fan base performing fan favorites and unknown album cuts will not work. She could do a mix every now and then but other than Vegas and tour moments it is best to stick with a more popular set list that satisfies the masses at large. On another note Mimi did a great job with the performance here.
