After a valiant effort, it looks like Camila Cabello is on-course to open within the upper echelon of the US album count with sophomore set ‘Romance.’
However, in the UK – traditionally a strong market for the singer – she’s having no such luck.

With the numbers counted and verified, the LP has entered the Official UK Album Chart at #14.
And while it bested the debut of fellow Pop band member Liam Payne (whose ‘LP1’ opened at #17), it has to come as a blow to all involved.
For, having nabbed UK #1’s with both ‘Havana’ and ‘Senorita’ in relatively close succession, the assumption was that Cabello possessed the chart clout to deliver a top-selling album too.
And even still, she didn’t rest on her laurels. For, she pounded the promotional pavement by appearing on a number of high-profile shows and magazines.
But, alas, it was to little avail.
