Taking to Instagram, she shared a list of Hip-Hop’s top earners of the decade and touted the fact she achieved her stats within a three year frame. She said:
“Almost 3 years in the game ! Sooo proud of myself .Im anxious and excited for 2020.Thank you everyone who supports my music .Momma Bardi loves you ….now back to bed I go.”
Say what folk will about Belcalis, there’s no denying that she made an almighty splash at the end of the decade; one which sets the scene for her to continue dominating into the decade to come.
After years of a mono approach to the embrace of female rappers, Cardi proved that more than one star can shine simultaneously, while also reminding that it’s ok to break from the “allowed” mould and celebrate quirks and individuality.
