Report: Pop Smoke Murder Now Believed To Be A Targeted Hit – Not Robbery

Published: Thursday 20th Feb 2020 by Sam

With the music scene still reeling from the tragic killing of rising rapper Pop Smoke yesterday, new details have emerged about the crime that cut his short life short.

Full story below…

Initially, surface evidence led authorities to believe he was shot during a home invasion.

However, as the investigation into the 20-year-old’s passing picks up, it’s now appearing that his demise was the result of a targeted hit.

At first, the fact the rapper and a close friend both shared social media posts unintentionally revealing the address of his residence led to suggestion of a robbery. Especially as one of said posts featured the pair posing with a sizeable stack of cash – the day before the incident.

However, per TMZ, a different narrative looks to have emerged.

See, surveillance footage shows 4 masked men approaching the house at around 4:30 AM and immediately sneaking around the back of the building.

Shortly after, 3 of them walk back to the front of the residence.

The out of view 4th man entered via the backdoor – which interestingly had no camera fixed in its direction. He’s next seen walking out of the front of the house.

None of the men are carrying any items, thus for sources close to the investigation, debunking the notion of a robbery.

Pop, an ascending MC, had just this week celebrated opening in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 with mixtape ‘Meet The Woo 2.’

Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences remain with his family and friends.
