Madonna has added her name to the growing list of performers forced to ax their live performance itineraries thanks to the coronavirus epidemic.

Via her official web site, the Pop Queen announced:
“Following official notification from the Office of the Police this morning prohibiting all events with an audience attendance of over 1000, Live Nation regrets to announce the final two Madame X performances previously re-scheduled to 10-March and 11-March are forced to be cancelled,” the blurb reads.

The rescheduled stops were the last two shows on a trek already plagued with postponements and cancellations due to complications from Madge’s knee injury- a pain aggravated again thanks to a recent on-stage fall (click here to read more).
Even engagements that were fulfilled would often have set lists rearranged to avoid the singer participating in the more physically demanding parts of the show, a move that did not sit well with many fans.
Disappointed would-be concertgoers with tickets to the final shows will have their monies refunded from the point of purchase.
