‘Say So’ continues to prove itself just what the doctor Luke ordered for rising rapstress Doja Cat.
Having spent the last 6 years building buzz for her animated and often eccentric Rap offerings, the 24-year-old finally broke through with the 2019 ‘Hot Pink’ tune.
Now, less than three weeks after becoming her first single to hit the Hot 100’s top 10 (as we reported here), ‘Say’ – five months after its release – has been recognized by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as the femcee’s first Platinum hit by her lonesome.
Details inside:
As reported here, ‘Say So’ was certified Platinum on April 13. The mark denotes sales equivalence of 1 million units (classified by consumer consumption of streams and digital downloads).
The announcement came just days ahead of industry analyst prediction the song is set to soar into the Hot 100’s top 5 next week. If true, it will be another career first for her.
