Even though Forbes has updated their records to declare Kanye West as the richest man in Hip Hop history, they were reportedly still slammed by the billionaire for undercounting his coins.
Details inside:
Forbes published a feature of the ‘Gold Digger’ hitmaker last year to detail his earnings. Failing to declare him a billionaire at the time, however, yielded harsh criticism from the ‘Gold Digger’ hitmaker (who alleged the mag “purposely snubbed” him).
Fast forward to earlier this year, they published another billionaires list that omitted him. He responded:
“You know what you’re doing,” he reportedly texted them. “You’re toying with me and I’m not finna lye [sic] down and take it anymore in Jesus name.”
Accusing Forbes of trying to belittle his success because of race, the GRAMMY winner contacted the mag with updated stats about his empire which (based on the information provided) asserts he is worth approximately $3.3 billion. Forbes disagreed, however, and estimated his net worth closer to $1.3 billion.
His response?
“It’s not a billion,” he texted Forbes Thursday (April 23) in response to their updated report. “It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.”
