H.E.R.‘s tap of new music continues to flow.
The GRAMMY-winning star guested on NBC’s ‘Songland’ this week and cooked up a winning track named ‘Wrong Places’ with newcomer Raquel Castro and hitmaker Ryan Tedder.
For all the talent shows on the air, there’s been a dearth of titles focussed on songwriting – a void this show aims to fill.
‘Songland’ provides talented up-and-coming songwriters with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to collaborate with the music maestros whose hits continue to be the soundtrack of our lives.
Take a listen to what H.E.R., along with writers Castro and Tedder cooked up below…
This made for an enjoyable listen and lyrically takes the listener on a journey. Narrative driven writing tends to draw us in the more. Kudos to all involved.

I like Ryan’s first version (performed by the songwriter) better, because the beat doesn’t kick in until later which gives the song more range and progression. Gabi’s vocal gives the song character.
Very nice.
