Kelly…… The creative direction was on point but no choreo? I get you lifting brown skin women of all shades but where was the melody and hook in this song? Lyrically it just kind all blended into one with no replay value beyond the repeating line “no time to waste”.
Why is the song so short? It all lends to the track being UNEVENTFUL.
The perfect next step would be to say this is a REINTRODUCTION to Kelly Rowland and a BUZZ TRACK and then drop a real ???? This song is way to short. Those the song even have a chorus? At least put a Rapper for another 60 secs…. having a bunch of beautiful black women will not cut it. I only played the song once, moving on.

But that’s pretty much it. If you dare putting such a short track out, you got to hit hard and make people crave for more. This is not it.
The preview with the intro sounded fresh with the drums and the bass, it sounded like something very summer-ish. When I first heard that generic beat kicking in, I was like yuck why oh why ?

Regarding this track, I stand by what I said. I don’t know if you saw the preview on Instagram, with the first part of the instrumental before that generic beat kicks in.
I would have went for that direction because it sounded super fresh. Keep the drums the center piece of the instrumental, and have a light sound for this spring, not a heavy sound.
To make the track longer, she could add a breakdown with the instruments, have a nice choreo with that part for the video.
And then eventually bring bigger vocals and adlibs for the final part.
Beyond the fact the song is super short, and not having a memorable melody or chorus, I’m shocked that this is what she’s putting on the table after all these years, so generic with vocals that are so lazy.
I truly love Kelly and I have high expectations coming from her.
