Jason Derulo has moved on to pastures new.
For, in a recent interview, the Pop star shared that he is no longer with his record label.
Full story below…
Since the onset of his career in 2009, Derulo had been signed to Warner Bros – enjoying a string of hits including ‘In My Head,’ ‘Talk Dirty,’ ‘Want To Want Me,’ and ‘Swalla.’
Yet, speaking with Access this week, he explained that there now won’t be a second part to his 2019 effort ‘2Sides’ due to him no longer being with the label.
Here’s what he unpacked:
“I was on a record label for my entire career and I was trying to get off that label for quite some time. And I was finally able to get released and now I’m at a home where I’m comfortable and where I think my music can flourish. We’re all on the same page creatively. So, there will not be another “side” to that album. But it’s for the better. I feel excited to release the music I have. I have so much great material that’s just waiting.”
It’s not yet been confirmed where Derulo has signed and it appears recently released video ‘Savage Love’ is only on YouTube and not streaming services.
Still, as he crosses his t’s and dots the i’s of his new deal, the 30-year-old is being sure to amplify his presence on social media.
He has became quite the force on TikTok, amassing 16 million followers in just two months.
The shape and form of the music industry is changing and it appears JD is working it to his advantage.
