At 61-years-old, Queen of Pop Madonna is seeing conversations around her health top more headlines than chart hits.
Citing knee and joint pains as the reason many dates on her recent ‘Madame X’ world tour were axed, the diva finally closed the curtain on the jaunt permanently as public safety fears rose about the spread of coronavirus (as we reported here).
Two months later, that very topic is pushing Madge’s name to headlines again – this time with reports she’d contracted the disease.
Details inside:
Taking to Instagram Wednesday (May 6), M highlighted her efforts in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 including a $1 million donation toward research, medical supplies, and more.
In the caption accompanying the post she confirmed she – alongside some of her ‘Madame X’ tour dancers – tested positive for the disease during the trek. However, she clarified she is no longer battling any symptoms.
The caption reads:
“Im Grateful that I can be a part of supporting Research to Find the cure for Covid -19!! 🙏🏼
And just to clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus—
I am not currently sick.
When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I. clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time
We all thought we had a very bad flu. Thank God we are all healthy and well now. Hope that clears things up for the band wagon jumpers!! Knowledge is Power! #covid19”
