With minimal notice, Future unleashed new album ‘High Off Life’ this week.
Serving as the rapper’s eighth studio effort, the Epic Records set brought with it collaborations with the likes of Drake, Travis Scott, and DaBaby.
Naturally, then, commercial expectations for the project are lofty.
Is it due to deliver?
The first week predictions are in and reveal the answer. Join us after the jump…
According to Hits Daily Double, ‘High’ aptly looks set to open atop of the Billboard 200 with:
170,000-185,000
[Sales Plus Streams]
********
17,000-20,000
[Pure Sales]
********
The numbers exceed the 125k launch achieved with 2019 album ‘The Wizrd’ and no doubt speak to Future’s commercial consistency.
That said, he took to Twitter to declare the album sold Gold in 30 minutes. We know streaming has switched things up, but with Gold still reflecting equivalent sales of 500,000, we’re a little…confused.
In any case, a #1 is a #1. And, unless there’s a surprise drop from a heavy-hitter, it looks like Future has it in the bag.
