Much like CNN and Sesame Street’s town hall on racism before it, Nickelodeon is using its platform to explain the issues of racial injustice to kids and teens.
Delivered via a ‘Nick News’ special, the virtual event – titled ‘Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special’ – is set to be hosted by 15-time GRAMMY winner Alicia Keys and will bring along celebrity pals Naomi Campbell, Simone Biles, Chance the Rapper, and more to add insight to the much-needed conversation.

Aiming to “amplify the voices and experiences of Black kids across the country amid current events,” ‘Kids, Race and Unity’ will focus primarily on the work being done by young activists throughout the U.S. and will also include a Q&A period with the founders and leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement.
‘Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special’ is set to air Monday, June 29, at 7 p.m. ET/PT and will simulcast on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, and Nicktoons.
