Over a year after announcing her latest album was finished, the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Charlene,’ R&B soulstress Tweet has been steadily teasing buzz tracks over the last few weeks to culminate to the release of new song, ‘I Admit It.’
While admitting ‘Admit’ is ‘not an official single,’ the Charlie Bereal-produced tune is just a way to hold fans over until her official LP is ready to launch.
“You’re not the guy, the one I dreamed of / I can tell ’cause I only give just enough / Say what I had to to save your feelings / But I don’t want to lie to you anymore,” she sings. “So I’ll just close the door and leave you alone / Please forgive me, I admit I’m wrong / I admit I’m wrong.”
Hear it inside:
If this is a foretaste of what ‘Charlene’s successor is housing, we can’t wait to hear the full body of work.

One of the GOATS
She is the SADE of her generation!!
This is a vibe man.
Flop
But RESPECT ON TWEETS NAME !
For what? She hasn’t had a hit in nearly a decade. One hit wonder teas.
Absolutely disrespectful….
We gotta stop this whole (flop this or flop that) when many of TODAYS hits are quantity compared to actual quality such as this. Tweet is already a vet and her catalog is flawless. My point is why call it a flop when the song itself is good where’s again todays hits are rubbish bs and the chances of this charting are obviously slim considering our time but main objective should be appreciating REAL artist and musicians instead.
Boo whenever someone says Tweet people automatically think of 60 characters or less. Tweet the singer is irrelevant lullaby music . She had one hit 18 years ago and y’all act like she’s God. Missy ate her p**** and disposed of her after she couldn’t produce anymore hits. You mad!!!!
Dumb bitc.h , how can you have hit without big record company. We can say anyone who hasnt hit in charts like Björk, Bob Dylan are flop
She could’ve kept it. I dozed off.
I love tweets voice and the melody I just felt she needs to link back up with Tim and Missy because the beat and production was mediocre. I still love Tweet though
