The battle against racial inequality in Britain just got a major boost by way of the BBC, who are following up on a major move made by rapper Stormzy.

As reported, the UK chart-titan announced a £10 million ten-year pledge to help Black businesses and institutions elevate and work towards dismantling racial inequality.
Today, the BBC announced that they will be matching the star’s donation with a £10 million pledge of their own.
Further to the ten-year donation plan, the corporation will work with Radio 1Xtra to develop young black talent in the media.
Kenny Imafidon, trustee of BBC Children in Need, said in a statement:
“I can speak for the entire Board of Trustees and all the staff at BBC Children in Need when I say, we were really inspired by Stormzy’s pledge.
I am excited about this new fund and I truly believe that this is the beginning of greater things to come, as we continue on our mission to support children and young people most in need.”
The commendable commitment comes amidst the global discourse about racial injustice sparked by the deaths of unarmed Black civilians such as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.
