Kendrick Lamar’s ‘good kid, m.A.A.D CITY’ Is Billboard’s Longest Charting Hip-Hop Album

Published: Thursday 2nd Jul 2020 by David

Kendrick Lamar is making history.

Find out how below….

Sales generated by the rapper’s powerful album ‘good kid, m.A.A.D CITY’ make it the longest-charting Hip-Hop album in Billboard chart history after surpassing the number of weeks the previous record holder, Eminem‘s ‘Curtain Call: The Hits’, spent on Top 200.

So, just how many weeks has the album spent on the albums chart.

400.

The enormous number was powered by hits ‘Swimming Pools’, the Janet Jackson-approved ‘Poetic Justice’ and ‘B**** Don’t Kill My Vibe’.

As it should. Great body of work. It was very different and miles ahead of the music that was being released at the time and still sounds fresh today.
