As his inaugural Hot 100 chart-topper ‘Rockstar’ (featuring Roddy Ricch) enjoys its 7th week atop the tally, DaBaby is looking to return its parent album – ‘Blame It On Baby’ – to #1 on the Billboard 200.
Taking to social media recently, the 28-year-old (born Jonathan Kirk) revealed his third album has been beefed up and will revisit digital shelves in the form of a ‘deluxe edition.’
More inside:
In April (as we reported here), Kirk revealed his intentions to release a different studio album before 2020’s end. That effort would mark his fourth in just 2 years.
While he’s not mentioned that project much since, he is keeping his word on new music overall by unveiling news about the redone ‘Blame It On Baby.’
Due August 4, DaBaby announced the new edition would also house 10 new tracks.
Fans will not in the caption that Kirk is not calling the set a ‘deluxe edition,’ but is instead referring to it as the album he previously promised.
To much to fast career will be short
He knows that and that’s why he’s striking the iron while it’s hot. Most of his songs sound the same to me. The one with Roddy Rich is his best because of Roddy.
Oh true
All of this 👍
“Rockstar” is really good and different. It actually shows versatility and growth from all his other singles. And the video and live performances really sold me on it, his best song to date! And his daughter is gorgeous!
This generation is missing the biggest thing they need to truly be successful…and that’s artistry. He knows his 15 mins are almost up
he actually looks handsome !!
