Chart Check [Billboard 200]: 6ix9ine’s ‘Tattletales’ Tumbles Over 50 Spots in Week 2

Published: Thursday 24th Sep 2020 by Rashad

Billboard buoyancy certainly isn’t a theme in the latest chapter of ‘Tattletales,’ the sophomore studio album of 6ix9ine.

The effort, which dropped September 4, made fans drop jaws after industry analysts downgraded its original 150,000 unit first-week sales prediction to 50,000 – a measure he bested when the set premiered at #4 on the Billboard 200 with figures of 53,000 attached (click here to read more).

Peruse of the refreshed album chart show its residency in the tally’s top 10 was short-lived, however.  See what we mean inside:

Second Week Sales (Pure): 900 units

Billboard 200 Position:  #60

Much like the historic fall of its single, ‘TROLLZ’ (click here to read more), ‘Tattletales’ – despite enjoying a whirlwind week of promotion – has tumbled down the chart in its second sales tracking week.

Experiencing a nearly 83% drop in overall commercial performance, the project landed at #60 on the refreshed Billboard 200 – a fall of over 55 spots from its premiere just last week.

‘Tattletales’ run is stark contrast to that of its predecessor, 2018’s ‘DUMMY BOY,’ which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and held onto the top 10 for at least three weeks before slipping out.
