Kanye West continues to make headlines today
Find out why below…
During his bid for presidency, Ye sat down for an episode of Nick Cannon’s podcast show, ‘Cannon’s Class‘ to discuss a myriad of topics.
One subject matter discussed was the infamous 2009 VMA incident, where the ‘God Is‘ rapper interrupted the acceptance speech of a then 19-year-old Taylor Swift, proclaiming that Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies‘ should have been the recipient of the award, not Swift’s ‘You Belong With Me‘.
He says of the drama in the interview:
“Right now, God is giving me the information and He ain’t gave me no other information other than this information, so that means He wants me to say this now”
He adds further:
“If God ain’t want me to run on stage and say Beyoncé had the best video, He wouldn’t have sat me in the front row.
At this point, it’s strange that West is still talking about that moment. With it being over ten years since it happened, we would have thought that he’d find other topics to address by now.
However, if there’s one thing that Ye knows how to do, it’s creating controversy during album rollouts. With his new album entitled ‘Donda: With Child’, originally scheduled for release back in July, could it be that the ‘Monster‘ rapper is trying to create buzz around the project? If this is the case, will this be enough to gain the traction he desires for the album?
