Selena Gomez is ready to move on from her Disney Channel days.
The ‘It Ain’t Me’ singer graced the latest issue of Allure, where she talked about her days growing up Disney Channel and starring on ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ at 13.
Her words below:
“I was extremely blessed to get picked out of Texas and chosen to become a part of one of the biggest machines in the world — it was my high school. I think the female characters on Disney Channel have a lot of strength. And my comedic timing, my improv skills, everything I experienced made me a better actress.”
She then went on to say:
“My personal life was out everywhere. It felt very claustrophobic and just…I felt very trapped.”
As a result the 28-year-old revealed that she doesn’t read comments on social media, TikTok, or even Google herself.
She admitted:
“I honestly can’t. I’m strong in a lot of ways, but I think I just have way too much of a sensitive heart.”
Since her days on Disney Channel, the singer has gone on to score several hits such as: ‘Hands to Myself,’ ‘Good for You,’ and her most recent, ‘Ice Cream’ with BLACKPINK.
