Harry Styles is getting candid.
The music superstar talked to Variety about racial issues that exist in the music industry and shared a special message to author Candace Owens.
His words below:
On racial issues:
“I can’t think of any industry that’s benefited more off of Black culture than music. There are discussions that need to happen about this long history of not being paid fairly. It’s a time for listening.”
Styles also took the time to clap back at Owens, who previously slammed Styles for appearing on the cover of Vogue in a dress (as we reported here). In her criticism of the GRAMMY-nominee, she said:
“Bring back manly men.”
On Owens, Styles said:
“To not wear [something] because it’s females’ clothing, you shut out a whole world of great clothes. And I think what’s exciting about right now is you can wear what you like. It doesn’t have to be X or Y. Those lines are becoming more and more blurred.”
He also took to Twitter to share a picture of himself in a powder blue suit ruffles suit, eating a banana. In the post he said:

Owens then responded on Twitter, saying:

Needless to say, it appears as though this feud will not be over any time soon. However, we do have to commend Styles for helping to bring awareness to the racial disparity that exists within the music industry.
