Cardi B is on track to becoming the first female rapper in history to own a single certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), a feat that denotes sales of 10 million in the United States.
See how inside:
Just a year after her breakout #1 single, ‘Bodak Yellow,’ became the highest certified female rap hit ever (click here to read more), ‘I Like It’ – her second Hot 100 chart-topper – has matched its success by reaching the RIAA’s rung for 9x Platinum status.
With two 9x Platinum singles to her credit, B – thanks to the recently announced update – sees her overall career certification total reach 41 million units sold in the United States, thereby extending her record as the most certified female rapper in digital history.
The ongoing success of her blockbuster debut album, 2018’s ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ undoubtedly increases the pressure for its follow-up. But, if the success of the recently 3x Platinum certified hit, ‘WAP’ (click here to read more), is any indication, the new album is set to make as big of a splash as its predecessor.
