Lady Gaga continues to have a successful start to the new year.
For, Mother Monster has just added another plaque to her already impressive collection.
More details below…
Nearly a year after its debut, ‘Stupid Love’ – Gaga’s Bloodpop produced smash hit – has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales equivalence 1,000,000 units in the United States.
The news comes almost a week after it was certified gold by the RIAA (as we reported here).
‘Stupid Love’ has now been certified Gold in five countries and Platinum in two, including the United States.
The song served as the lead single from Gaga’s acclaimed ‘Chromatica’ album and became her 12th top 5 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it peaked at #5.
It proved to be a huge triumph for the singer and helped pave the way for one of her most successful eras.
Congratulations are in order for this impressive feat.
