Ashanti and Keyshia Cole finally did battle in the latest #VERZUZ spar.
As widely reported, the musical celebration had first been scheduled in December but was postponed when Ashanti contracted coronavirus. A rescheduled January date was then scrapped due to rising rates of infection in the US.
Nonetheless, it took place tonight and saw the ladies compete with classics such as ‘Foolish,’ ‘Heaven Sent,’ ‘Only U,’ and ‘Give It Up To Me.’

I adore both of them since their 1st day. Big supporter of both. But I must say.. Keyshia’s spirit was off… her outfit had too much of b00bies out and how she started by singing my fav song of hers I CHANGED MY MIND was so weird.. she sounded like she can not be bothered.. she should’ve put some more effort. Or at least pretend she liked the song. It’s prod. by Kanye West (THE OLD KANYE). SMH Ashanti was a lot more relaxed and I’m glad she did Breakup 2 Makeup and Movies and Baby as fan favorite songs. Ashanti’s mic and sound was better than ghetto azzz Keyshia’s. However.. it was nice to see both of them, very enjoyable to watch for me. Best verzuz so far when it comes to my musical taste. But I gotta be honest and say that this was an unprofesinalism at its best. They were both late, there was so many technical difficulties (crappy sound quality of Keyshia’s mic) but whatever.. I gotta appreciate this verzuz ever even happened. BTW: Glad Keyshia performed You Complete Me, that’s my jam. I wish she also did Long Way Down because that song is the ish but whatever.. Good selection of songs for both so I my white European gay azzz is happy.

I still prefer Keyshia Coles music but I’d have to give the W to Ashanti. I can tell she’s taken vocal lessons over the years she sounds pretty good. Her vocals were not that great back in the day. I just enjoyed her set and energy more plus that new song she played was 🔥. Still love Keysh though! Good job ladies.
Sound was off. Vibe was off. It was difficult to enjoy. I saw a suggestion in the comments for a verzuz between Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia. I think I would like that more.
