Alicia Keys‘ story is heading to YouTube.
Details below…
Moments ago during the YouTube Originals TCA 2021 presentation, it was announced that the 15-time GRAMMY winner had teamed with the media giant for a docuseries.
The project is being produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Media.
Keys joins a growing list of notable names, such as Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato, who have shared insights into their life, lows, and creative process by way of the YouTube Originals platform.
While specifics are currently under wraps, Keys said during the presentation:
“It’s going to be a sick series that takes you on a real-life journey.”
The docuseries follows the release of the singer’s 2020 album ‘ALICIA,’ which housed Gold-certified hits ‘Show Me Love’ and ‘Underdog.’ It also comes on the heels of her memoir ‘More Myself,’ which also arrived last year.
That’s right Alicia!! When the music stops selling you make a YouTube page or podcast that no one will listen too!
🥱yawn! No hate, but her heyday is over. Not at all saying she should stop creating music. Just saying the hey day is over. Some people may watch, but not many. She got lucky because her song came out at the perfect time. And struck a cord for frontline workers. But nobody bought the album, nobody bought the book. So why would people want to watch a docuseries about the making of both of those?
