Together, Sevyn Streeter and Chris Brown have gifted music lovers memorable R&B gems like ‘It Won’t Stop,’ ‘Red Handed,’ ‘Deliverance,’ and more. Now, the singer-songwriter duo are adding new song ‘Guilty’ to the list – the latest single from Streeter’s forthcoming sophomore album, ‘Drunken Wordz, Sober Thoughtz.’
Tapping A$AP Ferg to assist, the Chizzy-produced bop – which sees its performs trade verses about the complications of infidelity – is anchored by a sample of Total’s 1995 hit ‘Can’t You See’ (which itself is a sample of Godfather of Soul James Brown‘s 1974 smash ‘The Payback’).
“I know we in love / But not with each other, no, and we don’t mind / ‘Cause you’re still mine (Oh, babe)
If we keep it up (Up) / Then maybe these two wrongs might make it right / Don’t tell nobody,” Sevyn wails on the groovy track.
