Officers responded to shots fired at a scrap yard on Wells Street in southwest Atlanta. When they got to the scene, they found a man grazed by a round of gunfire. EMS later determined Peter Cook, 39, was hurt by debris and not a gunshot.
However, Antoine Blake, 25, and Vernon Moulder, 29, were shot during the same incident and took themselves to Grady Memorial Hospital. Both men are in stable condition.
According to, Theresa Lakes, one witness:
“Everyone started running, trying to get out. Or take cover, lot of places to take cover in there.”
Lakes was on set as a medic to screen for COVID-19. She went on to say:
“Anyone that was injured, I laid hands on ‘em to make sure they were OK. Just glad it wasn’t a lot worse then it could have been…could have been worse.”
One man was arrested on a drug possession charge, but he is not considered the shooting suspect. Both Ricch and fellow rapper 42 Drugg were not injured in the incident.
42 Drugg has since spoken out:
Keep it locked on That Grape Juice for more.
