The legendary Tina Turner will be the focal point of a new HBO documentary that promises an “unvarnished” look into the life of one of music’s most luminous superstars.
Full story below…
Set to premiere on March 27, the aptly titled ‘TINA’ will gift viewers an intimate look at the icon’s story – chronicling her improbable rise to early fame, her personal and professional journey, struggles, and more.
Helmed by Oscar-winning directors Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin, the doc promises to leave no stone unturned in its unvarnished account of her complex life.
It’ll be comprised of new interviews with Turner herself (filmed at her home in Switzerland) and many of those closest to her, as well as a wealth of unseen footage.
‘TINA’ will debut on HBO on March 27 and be available to stream on HBO Max beginning on the same date.
The news comes on the day the star was nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame‘s Class of 2021.
