Beyonce has joined millions across the world who have voiced support for Meghan Markle after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Over 17 million tuned in on CBS and another 11 million on ITV to see the Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry open up in earnest about the intense scrutiny they faced, the racism directed their way, and the family fractures it caused.
Now, music’s reigning royal has spoken up and out.
Her words below…
Via her website, the superstar singer stood in solidarity with Markle. She said:
“Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”
The message is the latest in long list of shows of public support from Bey to Meghan.
In 2019, she and JAY-Z accepted their BRIT Award with a painting of the Duchess in full view.
While on International Women’s Day, Bey featured Meghan on her list of ‘The Rule Breakers’ in a broader salute of Women’s History Month.
