New music from Katy Perry and J Balvin is just around the corner.
For, the music superstars have signed-on to feature on a special anniversary record for the ‘Pokémon’ franchise, titled ‘Pokémon 25: The Album’

Balvin confirmed the news to Rolling Stone. Speaking about his involvement with the album, he said:
“We’re gonna come up with a crazy song. It’s going to catch everybody’s ear. It’s easy to make a ‘Pokémon’ song if you just want that fan base, but we’re not close-minded. We want everybody to vibe with ‘Pokémon.'”
As for when the track will be released, he said it should be within the next couple of weeks and it will be sung in Spanish.
While Perry has not commented on the news as of now, Anton Monsted — executive vice president of soundtracks and A&R at Capitol Music Group – said that he wanted to have the song on repeat:
“That’s the sign that you’re sitting on something awesome. And it’s a very ‘Katy Perry’ song.”
Post Malone will be joining Balvin and Perry for the album and shared his contribution – a cover of Hootie & The Blowfish‘s ‘Only Wanna Be With You.’
The album will feature eight other Universal Music Group artists with Balvin, Perry, Malone, and one other yet-to-be-revealed musician releasing music videos for it.
