From Ella Mai‘s ‘Trip’ to Michael Jackson‘s ‘Dirty Diana,’ self-proclaimed King of R&B Jacquees has received royal backlash many times over his short career for remixing some of today and yesterday’s most beloved R&B hits.
Despite the critical polarity (and a petition signed by over 53,000 people for him to stop doing so), the 27-year-old shows no sign of slowing as evidenced by his recently unveiled ‘Quemix 4’ mixtape.
Released two years after ‘Quemix 3,’ the latest installment in the ‘QueMix’ series comes as a 13-track affair that sees the Atlanta native tackle some ’90s and early 2000s R&B favorites including Brandy‘s ‘I Wanna Be Down,’ Donnell Jones‘ ‘Where I Wanna Be,’ Usher‘s ‘Can U Handle It?,’ and more.
