The rising British-Ghanaian star appears on this evening’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1 and seized the moment to confirm the team-up; one fans of both acts have been clamoring for ever since word of a possible ‘Chromatica’ remix album first surfaced.
“I’m going to be on Lady Gaga’s album… I love her. I’ve now got a great relationship with her producer. He put out a tweet teasing the album and I text him and I was like, ‘Why you teasing this album and I’m not part of it..?’ He said, ‘Check your texts, I text you three weeks ago…’ It’s in motion now.”
Bree was tight-lipped about further details, but should the project in question indeed by the ‘Chromatica’ remix LP, then she’ll be appearing alongside the likes of Rina Sawayama and Charli XCX – who are also believed to be on-board.
Later in the episode, the performer said of her music:
“I love making people feel ‘it’. Feeling like macho, 10/10, I’m the 1 not the 2, empowered. Every single time you listen I want you to feel empowered, ‘it’.”
Bree also spoke on the importance of representation:
“I feel like a lot of the time in media, darker skin women get counted out a lot. Now I feel like we are being represented more. In my world dark skin women will be front and center.”
