No one should wear something that still has it’s original spiritual significance unless they plan on fully embracing the specific culture. Many old traditions are closely related too deities or religion. Blond hair has no spiritual significance in the Western world. None of us can tell Beyonce to stop wearing that ratty blond wig.

Well dred locs always had spiritual significance throughout the old world. Dred locs have been worn for thousands of years by various cultures especially in Africa & also India. Most westerners who wear dred locs, do so for fashion. Many will not associate wearing dred locs with disrespect. Now if Justin was wearing a Hijab, this would appear a lot more controversial to people.
Trying to regulate who can wear what hairstyle or color is quite silly in America when most Americans are far removed from ancient spiritual traditions. Once a tradition loses it’s significance, you risk what is called appropriation. Think of traditional jewellery or tattoos celebrities wear on the red carpet.
Those aren’t dreadlocks by any stretch of the imagination.
