Victoria Beckham Reveals The Spice Girls Inspired Beyonce

Published: Friday 7th May 2021 by Ryan

During their reign in the 1990s, the Spice Girls were all about spreading female empowerment. As such, they inspired many – among them Beyoncé.

In a new interview with the Breaking Beauty podcast, Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham recounts a time when she met Queen Bey years ago and how Bey revealed the Spice Girls inspired her.

Her words below…

“I met Beyoncé a few years ago and she actually said to me, ‘It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do and made me proud to be a girl. I’m proud to be who I am.’

And when someone like Beyoncé, who is so iconic and such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, I think that that’s quite something.”

Flash-forward years later and Beckham is now a fashion mogul and Beyoncé quite literally “runs the world.”

She says that to everyone that was big at the time.. you are inspired by the big artist that you weren’t at the time🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️… beyonce is respectful and humble to people

Girl bye. You really think The Beyoncé was inspired by yall? Beyonce probably can’t recall a single spice girl song. I think Victoria is seriously sick. Her spirit is just so off putting to me. And what she said of Justin Beiber recently made her look like a ole hateful hater.

I commented before reading the article. Either way, I do not believe beyonce was inspired by no spice girls. If she said that, it was to be polite.

Only dummies comment without reading first. Grow up clown 🤡.

You know despite all the marketing around the Spice Girls, I think they had good tunes.
And their producers incorporated a lot of live instruments in their tracks. That is much better than half of the trap mess out there that is aging terribly.

I’m not ashamed to say Viva Forever is a beautiful song and it doesn’t sound like it’s been released over two decades ago.
When something is overly popular and overly marketed, it’s a easy target for critics. Besides Mel C, the group was vocally limited. Even if they could handle live their studio vocals, because they didn’t cheat trying to make them sound like belters or something.

Meme! You are a dumb h@e. One thing for sure is your stan Rihanna was inspired by BeyoncéThey even shared the same d:I:c/k way back and that’s the reason why the song “sorry” was born. “I ain’t sorry, I ain’t sorry”

I am so sick of this “runs the world” bull. No one runs the world. It’s SUCH EGO.

And Beyonce’s “Run the World” song FLOPPED. It peaked at #29. FLOP.
And for girl’s running the world, it was written by FIVE men & Beyonce (I know, really) and produced by THREE men & Beyonce. Girls didn’t do NOTHIN’. She’s a FRAUD.

      Exactly…

Her recent flops and her sluuuuut looks don’t make her qualified to run shyt.

Daaaaayyyyummmm Beyoncé gets you UPSET baby lmao

    • Shayla Queen 👑 May 8, 2021

AND it was already a huge club track all over Europe without her vocals on it before she took and ruined it by rambling a load of elementary s**** with zero substance about girls “running the world” and released it as a LEAD SINGLE which shows it was the best that she could come up with at that time. Or even now.

And you’re STILL talking about it…

Guess it did it’s job!! That song is 10 years old

      • Shayla Queen 👑 May 8, 2021

I didn’t mention the song you flop bästard. Go sit wit yo single momma.

Beyonce so elementary. She sounds so fake because she literally says that to everyone. Spice girls made her proud to be a girl. Lion king made her proud to be black. Jayz make her proud to be a rapper. 😆😆😆. She just take on what the moment is and apply it whomever.

Beyonce saw a turd on the ground and said “I”m so happy to be made of molecules.” I’m inspired by that turd.

    Explains A lot

Independent Women carried on from what the Spice Girls started and I remember that I loved the song so much more for that. You never previously had themes of “girl power” and female empowerment in the way that the Spice Girls had done and so loudly and in your face. “Girl Power” was a worldwide movement.

      Madonna?

      • Shayla Queen 👑 May 8, 2021

Acting like a slüt, releasing books of séx acts among other things to induce shock to sell records is not female empowerment…

    • Lmfao_Hoe May 9, 2021

TLC? NO Scrubs, What About Your Friends, Waterfall, Ect?

you know its possible to be inspired by a lot of people right? and for different reasons…. perhaps Bey was inspired by their impact and influence of girl groups? Maybe she wanted to do the same herself? Say what you want about the spice girls but they made their print in music even with okay vocals. Their music will be a part of history regardless if you think theyre talented or not. Sometimes you just need to offer something special for it to work.
