A rousing round of applause is exactly what Gwen Stefani and Saweetie got after they unveiled their first joint live performance of ‘Slow Clap,’ the latest single from Gwen’s forthcoming studio album.
Fans of the No Doubt frontwoman know ‘Clap’ is no stranger to the live circuit as Stefani’s delivered a number of solo renditions of the upbeat cut. On Tuesday (May 25), however, she joined forces with Saweetie at ‘The Voice’ finale to render the inaugural televised performance of its remix.
Curious to see how they fared? Tap tap tap in inside:
Originally released as a solo tune in March, Stefani threw the ‘Fast’ femcee on the track in April much to critical acclaim (as we reported here). And while its absence from the Hot 100 suggests that critical acclaim has yet to be reflected commercially, ‘Slow’ is slowly but surely building buzz for Stefani’s forthcoming LP.
The two-night season finale of ‘The Voice’ also featured performances from Justin Bieber (as we reported here), Thomas Rhett, OneRepublic, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Nick Jonas, and many more.
Why does she keep performing this? It was dead on arrival. move on…
God, Gwen is awful.
