Fans of ‘Kiss Me More’ crooner Doja Cat wanted more, and more is exactly what they received courtesy of the deluxe edition of her third studio album, ‘Planet Her.’
Released June 26 (just a day after its original incarnation), the updated version expanded the set’s tracklist to 19 songs and includes appearances from fellow rappers Eve, Gunna, and others. As Cat’s beloved fan base, affectionately called #Kittens, continue to consume the set and its re-release at a historic rate (see: biggest album debut by a female rapper in Spotify history), their hard work has boosted its predicted first-week sale figure.
What’s more, the uptick in activity could also see its lead single – the SZA-assisted ‘Kiss Me More’ – pucker up to kiss the top of the Hot 100.

Doja Cat’s ‘Planet Her’
Revised First-Week Sales (SPS): 110,000
Revised First-Week Sales (Pure): 11,000
Predicted Billboard 200 Debut: #2
Initially predicted to move 100,000 units its first week (as we reported here), industry analysts have updated the LP’s forecast to include deluxe edition sales – a move that packs an additional 10,000 units to its sum.
If the projection rings true, the total is still not enough to surpass the new Tyler, The Creator album (headed to #1 on the Billboard 200 with predicted sales of 185,000 units) but will solidify Doja at #2 with the highest first-week sales of her career yet.
On the Hot 100 side of the fence, however, chart-topping looks a bit more promising for the GRAMMY nominee.
Currently enjoying the second highest-charting hit of her career with the #4-peaked ‘Kiss Me More,’ industry analysts believe the increased streaming and digital downloads of the week will likely move the song to a new peak next week – possibly as high as #1. Its commercial performance is so in line with the tally’s current champion, BTS‘ ‘Butter,’ and other top contender, ‘Bad Habits’ (the comeback single of Ed Sheeran), it could edge out the boys for a victory.
If it bests the competition, ‘Kiss’ will become Cat’s second career Hot 100 #1 single – following 2020’s Nicki Minaj-assisted ‘Say So’ – and SZA’s first.
