People need to stop with the ‘cheap’ insults. Nothing is more ridiculous than a new rapper on their first album talking about how rich they are.
When people DO have high-budget videos, people say the video was expensive, but it didn’t look good or the song is bad.
When they and Tinashe (INDEPENDENT ARTISTS) are investing in themselves, you focus on the TALENT and how much determination they must have when someone with less talent and a budget gets praise, but they are barely acknowledge.
Kelly Rowland did them dirty, but she’s not the only one. T-Pain, Ne-Yo all had PROMISING groups that should have popped, but they didn’t even make it to RELEASING AN ALBUM!
Honey, the cheapness had nothing to do with them, but instead Derrick. All of his videos look cheap in my opinion. A good videographer can produce a nice video with a small budget…he failed with this though. THATS MY OPINION
Does Kelly own a record label that she promise to sign them on? Does she promote the releases of groups that she helped form in the US, UK, and Australia? Did she claim that she would fund their careers? How did she do them dirty? What did BET do? Why was the singer with the short hair in..”that Batman autotune”? I felt like the men’s clothing didn’t match the ladies. The men seemed underdressed. Also, why not a distinct man for each singer/ It seemed like the same guy.
The song….is alright. This feels like “let’s try to be cool, hip, fresh”. I’d rather them standing there sanging than choreo.
Overall, this video felt like “do what XYZ does”, not what THEY want to do. I’d love for them to bring their own individual distinct style so they can be seen as a cohesive unit. Something distinct about them that fans can notice and live for and is a constant.
Regardless I will support them and love how TGJ goes hard for them <3
