Olivia Rodrigo is tasting sweet success with her debut album, ‘Sour.’
For, the album has just scored a fifth week at #1 on the Billboard 200 and has reached a major milestone along the way.
More details below…
The LP – preceded by the singles ‘good 4 u,’ ‘Drivers License,’ and ‘Deja Vu’ – has returned to the #1 position with 133,000 units.
Of that sum, album sales comprise 84,000 units, while 48,000 units came from streams (69.82 million on-demand streams).
It is worth noting that the large amount of album sales came from the vinyl issue of ‘Sour’ being released. Vinyl sales comprised 76,000 of the total physical sales.
As a result, it has scored the second-largest sales week for an album on vinyl in history. Only Taylor Swift‘s ‘Evermore’ sold more in a single week with 102,000 units (as we reported here).
Additionally, ‘Sour’ is now the second-longest #1 album this year. She scores the longest-reigning #1 album for a female artist this year. Only embattled country star Morgan Wallen has logged more weeks. His album ‘Dangerous’ spent 10 weeks at the top position.
Keep it locked on That Gape Juice for a more in-depth chart breakdown later this week.
TGJ people still don’t know her… who’s this random weird twinkle?
