The Weeknd is making quite an event out of the launch of his new single ‘Take My Breath.’
As covered here on That Grape Juice, the Pop force lifted the lid on the release via a primetime commercial that aired during the US coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.
Now, ahead of the debut of the track, it’s been revealed that the performer had also lined up an IMAX theater roll-out of the ‘Breath’ music video. However, the news was preemptively shared because technical concerns mean said plans cannot proceed.

According to Variety, the cinematic clip was to be screened this week in IMAX theaters before showings of ‘Suicide Squad.’ However, it’s reportedly been pulled due to epilepsy warnings regarding the “intense strobe lighting” in the clip.
Still, there’s no denying that there exists ample excitement for the new-new from Abel.
‘Take My Breath’ is the first taste of the follow-up to 2020’s mega-selling hit vendor album ‘After Hours.’
