Adele has done it again.
By which, she has scored a rare chart double in the UK thanks to the record-breaking debut of her ’30’ album.
More details below…
Per the Official Charts Company, ’30’ debuted with a massive 261,000 units.
As a result, it now scores the biggest debut of the year. She bests the previous record holder ABBA and its album ‘Voyage.’
Additionally, the album scores the biggest biggest first-week for an album since Ed Sheeran’s ‘Divide’ in 2017, as well as the biggest opener for a female solo album since Adele’s ’25’ in 2015.
’30’ becomes her fourth #1 album in the UK, meaning all of her studio albums have reached the pole position in the country.
Moreover, her song ‘Easy On Me’ tops the singles chart, making for a rare chart double in the country. It is now her longest-running #1 there now, passing ‘Someone Like You.’
Elsewhere, ‘Oh My God’ – the album’s next single – debuts at #2 and ‘I Drink Wine’ arrives at #4.
