Cardi B isn’t just heading to the American Music Awards, she’s officiating it.
For, organizers of the hotly anticipated ceremony have announced that the femcee will serve as host of the show.

Set to take place live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on November 21, the event will celebrate the musical achievements of many of the industry’s biggest names.
Now, it’s confirmed that Cardi will be bringing her undeniable flair to the AMAs too.
Speaking on the gig, the superstar said in a statement:
“When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited. I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen.”
The AMAs executive producer Jesse Collins added:
“We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host. She will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be remembered forever!”
The 2021 AMAs air Sunday, Nov. 21, at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST on ABC and streaming next day on Hulu.
