Despite initially claiming he didn’t have a desire to press charges against his baby mama/singer-songwriter DaniLeigh during a heated exchange on Instagram live over the weekend (as we reported here), ‘Red Light Green Light’ hitmaker DaBaby has given authorities the green light to move forward with legal proceedings.
Details inside:
As has been making headlines all day, the on-and-off-again couple got into a spat on Instagram live while Dani fed their 3-month-old daughter in DaBaby’s Charlotte home. The heated verbal altercation led to him (born Jonathan Kirk) calling police to have Dani forcibly removed from the premises.
Later, local authorities confirmed via official statement Kirk did press charges for the incident.
“As a result of the investigation, Curiel was served with a Criminal Summons for Simple Assault. Officers also obtained additional information that led them to charge Curiel with a second count of Simple Assault from the incident on Nov. 14,” the statement read.
As of time reported, DaBaby nor DaniLeigh have issued a statement on the assault charges.
