Drake has spoken up and out about the tragedy that occurred at Travis Scott‘s Astroworld Festival.
As widely reported, eight people died and hundreds more were injured after the mass stampede at the event – which took place at Houston’s NRG Park.
With the youngest person to pass being just 14-years-old and a 9-year-old currently in a coma, the fallout has been immense. Case in point the mounting lawsuits.
Now, Drake – who performed as Scott’s guest – has issued a statement.
His words await below…
Taking to social media, the rapper wrote:
“I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.
My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all.”
Cancel him and Travis!
I second that. Cancel them both.
How is his broken ❤ a solution? And he prays? 👀 To whom?
That was just a “thoughts and prayers” statement after a mass shooting. He’ll go on about his business like nothing happened and put out another weak verse.
💯
Still a bad week to be a black artist.
