After starting the year on a sour note, Morgan Wallen is ending 2021 on the type of high few could have foreseen.
Back in February, the Country music star saw his career all-but-canceled after a clip of him using the N-Word went viral.
In the immediate aftermath, his music was pulled from the radio, award nominations were rescinded, his management pact dissolved, and his record deal was deemed “indefinitely suspended.”
Still, in a shock to some (and perhaps not others), support for Wallen was immense and he eventually found his way back onto the airwaves.
In a unique turn, not only has he been embraced by Country formats, he hit #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop tally with Lil Durk collaboration ‘Broadway Girl.’
And while Wallen’s dive into Hip-Hop took many by surprise, the star has revealed that it’s actually well-aligned with his personal musical palette.

Speaking as a guest on Druski’s Clubhouse chat this week, Wallen (who was not quizzed on the N-Word drama) claimed that he is a big fan of Hip-Hop music. He went on to add that Moneybagg Yo is his top act in the genre at the moment.
When quizzed about his dream Hip-Hop collaboration, Wallen added:
“I do love Moneybagg… He’s definitely at the top of the list. But like overall, ever… I’m trying to think of not just in the past little bit… Kendrick Lamar would be pretty cool.”
No word from Lamar, as of writing.
Keep dreaming! White boy! Never forget, never forgive!
You keep dreaming because it’s already been forgotten and forgiven. Not that there was anything that needed to be. Besides, read a Bible on forgiveness. You’re not God.
Yaaaaaaaaaas Morgan! I still bump his album! AOTY 🔥
Yessss My Queen 👑 IDGAF other haters said, his music is totally my cup of tea ☕️ Let’s not forget about other country hotties, like Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Brett young, Hunter Hayes…..
💩💩💩💩💩💩
Seem like he low-key labeled Kendrick a has-been?? OR maybe I’m misinterpreting his statement.
Anyways…
I’m NOT checking for Morgan OR any Country artist. They can keep that hick music BUT return the Banjo back to the Africans.
You have poor taste in music anyways💅🏾 You clearly don’t know s h I t bout country music.
I know that ur a poor representation of a woman & “taste” is something you clearly know nothing about it.
If he secures that…. I mean… might revive but I doubt k Lamar will do it. Unless the money is there and the song is hot
