Normani Accepts the Variety Collaborator of the Year Award: “This Is Big For Me”

Normani‘s shine intensified tonight at the Variety Hitmakers ceremony.

For, the rising solo star was honored with the Collaborator of the Year Award. 

The seismic salute recognizes the 25-year-old’s achievements with the ‘Wild Side’ – the Cardi B assisted scorcher that blazed its way to #1 on Urban radio.

It also toasts to her penchant for producing smash hit collaborations, such as those crafted with the likes of Sam Smith, Khalid, 6lack, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Upon gracing the stage to receive the award, Normani launched into an emotional acceptance speech by saying “this is big for me.”

Thanking her family, fans, and team, she elaborated on the process of piecing together her upcoming album as well as signifying how her collective has helped her navigate dark times and the highest hurdles.

Stressing that she’s long felt overlooked, Normani says her collaborators make her feel seen.
