Megan Thee Stallion has added another honor to her name.
For, the Houston native was honored by Houston Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee with the 18th congressional district of Texas hero award.
During the ceremony on December 12, Lee revealed that the award is not presented often and that it only goes to those who “exhibit humanity” and have “helped without asking.”
In her acceptance speech, the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ rapper shared that she feels a responsibility to “take care of the city that took care of me” and honored her grandmother who passed.
The award comes mere days after she graduated college (as we reported here).

Love her album. She should start twerking to celebrate at the ceremony
Congratulations 🎈🎊🍾 to her but what has the city done for all the appreciations that Beyoncé have put forth and done for her city and still doing. In time of crisis and beyond that Beyoncé has put in the time and money 💰 to help her city 🌆. Look 👀 it up . Not taken away what they did for Megan, but for all and everything Beyoncé has done for her city she deserves to be acknowledge in a major huge way.🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
beyonce does not have a degree like megan and she is a copycat thief.. .
Sad these young kids have a twerking heaux as a hero. I applaud her academic success but real Heros lead by example.
This title should be reserved for women & men with self discipline in character. A major strength within’ a world filled with temptation, corruption & vanity.
This is why I don’t get involved with politics. Our leaders no longer have standards. It’s whatever nowadays.
