As has become its annual tradition, Urban One Honors – presented by TV One and Radio One – is gearing up to salute the accomplishments of Black excellence achieved by individuals who boast extraordinary contributions in entertainment, education, and the community-at-large.
This year’s extravaganza, subtitled ‘The Soundtrack of Black America’ and set to air Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 17), is hosted by GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and has no shortage of big names on its list of honorees.

The 2022 Urban One Honors will honor iconic producer/songwriter/rapper Timbaland (Music Innovation Award), legendary songwriting teams Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff (Living Legends Award) as well as Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (Lifetime Achievement Award), GRAMMY-winning Gospel sensation Tasha Cobbs Leonard (Inspirational Impact), and OSCAR, GRAMMY, & EMMY Award-winning diva Jennifer Hudson (Entertainment Icon Award).
New Edition stars Johnny Gill andRalph Tresvant, 9x GRAMMY nominee Kelly Price, and 5x GRAMMY nominee Tank are among the big names tapped to deliver the night’s performances.
