Doja Cat may have started with week in headlines thanks to the release of her out-of-this-world ‘Planet Her’ single ‘Get Into It (Yuh),’ but she ended it in headlines for someone else’s music.
Rappers $NOT and A$AP Rocky joined forces for the February 4 unveiling of their collaboration which bears the ‘Say So’ hitmaker’s name. The latest single from his February 11-due new album, ‘Ethereal,’ controversy attached to the tune arrived once Cat’s fans – affectionately called #Kittens – took a listen to the lyrics.
“I f*cked that b*tch named Doja Cat, pull up in a Scat Pack (Haha) / Windows tinted all black (Go, go), bulletproof and all that (Go),” $NOT spits on the chorus of the tune.
Just hours after its release, chatter around the song landed on the desk of Doja. Hop inside to see how she responded.
As captured by our friends at FRR (seen below), Doja challenged the sexually suggestive lyric – implying she had never slept with $NOT.
The rapstress has since deleted the tweet, but it hasn’t stopped the #Kittens from clawing at $NOT on social media in her defense.
At writing, he nor A$AP Rocky have issued a statement regarding the hoopla.
